Job Objective: The Quality Technician is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager with the timely, accurate and thorough monitoring and reporting of processes throughout the value stream, assuring compliance with customer and Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) established standards and specifications with strict adherence to processes.
Job Duties:
•Comply with all company and safety policies andprocedures
•Assist with equipment calibration andcare
•Responsible for the approval of labels and processes prior to pressrun
•Responsible for the approval of roll end retains saved by pressoperators
•Responsible for assembling, filing and updating color tolerance folders, color consistency files, pulling clear overlays prior to press run,etc.
•Collects and reviews reject information as assigned by QualityManager
•Conduct data collection and analysis asrequired
•Assist in management of the MCC Quality Management System including document control asrequired
•Perform internal audits as a member of MCC's Internal AuditTeam
•Participate in improvement initiatives andprojects
•Participates in department meetings asscheduled
•Responsible for working overtime when needed and asassigned
•Related duties as assigned
Experience/Skills Required:
•High school education orequivalent
•Thorough knowledge of qualityassurance
•Experience with Microsoft Office applications including analytical abilities withinExcel
•Strong mathematic skills
•Detail oriented
•Ability to stay focused and follow instructions for duration ofshift
•Ability to work independently and see a tasks and projects through tocompletion
•Works well in team environment, is seen as a teamplayer
•Proven verbal and written communicationskills
•Knowledge of ISO 9001; 2000 standards and ASQ Certifications are desired but notrequired
