Job description

The City of Bay Village is hiring a full-time Finance Assistant. Reporting to the Finance Director this position is responsible for all functions related to the general operations of the Finance Department including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, legally and regulatory mandated reports, filings and records retention and city-wide IT related matters.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or 5-8 years of equivalent public sector finance experience and knowledge to sufficiently perform the essential functions of the job, preferably municipal government experience, responsible for most functions associated with the general operation of a Finance Department included but not limited to payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
