Essential Functions:

  • Primarily responsible for following through with centralized screening process for assigned programs/department.

  • Manage applicants in applicant tracking system.

  • Oversee and manage applicants for assigned programs/departments through entire recruiting and onboarding process

  • Act as the primary contact for applicant screening and sourcing within assigned programs/department.

  • Communicate effectively as the liaison between supervisors, new hires, and HR department.

  • Coordinate and attend job fairs and enhance and maintain recruitment supplies while working with internal staff for assistance.

  • Research and enhance current recruitment resources while working to recruit a diverse and qualified workforce and uphold the agency as an equal opportunity employer.

  • Prepare reports regarding opportunities and candidates for Supervisors on a regular, on-going basis.

  • Develop and implement training and informational sessions for employees and supervisors.

  • Act as a resource for all agency employees for various Human Resource issues.

  • Represent HR in various committees and/or meetings throughout the agency.

  • Meet with employee groups to educate and update employees on HR related issues which may include traveling to agency locations throughout Ohio.

  • Assist internal and external contacts in a positive and professional manner, answering questions or guiding them to the appropriate contact or resource.

  • Will take on assigned generalist duties beyond recruitment which may include areas such as college/community recruiting, employee recognition/retention programming, and presenting orientation program

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

  • May be involved in the planning, organization, and implementation of special events or department specific projects or seasonal program changes.

  • In times of need, employee may be asked to complete related duties other than those indicated above as assigned by their supervisor.


Performance/Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed at a desk, at job fairs, in the community and in all agency offices.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required and public speaking is on-going.

  • Computer literacy and experience necessary

  • Interacts verbally with applicants, coworkers, supervisors and representatives from outside agencies

  • English speaking, reading and writing skills required


Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must have valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. At least 2 full years of employment in a Human Resource position, and ability to exhibit extensive knowledge and understanding of Human Resource laws. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field with 0-3 years of experience, preferred
