We are looking for a highly motivated Operations Area Leader to join our team! This role efficiently leads Operators Processing and Operators Packaging, production activities and developing collaborative partnerships with colleagues. Delivering the agreed
to business and plant results while maintaining positive employee relations. The primary accountabilities of the role include daily production schedule adherence, quality, EHS, logistics, production financial performance, labor relations, people and team
development.

What you will do

• Lead continuous improvement efforts in regards to processes that drive business performance in key performance indicators for the Cambridge facility (e.g. asset utilization, unplanned downtime) while meeting quality, GMP and EHS
performance expectations
• Drive improvement of team performance and behaviors, including effective team communications, personal and team accountability, and other competencies within Colgate's "Managing with Respect" principles expectations; Effectively deal with employee relations and performance management issues, in collaboration with Human Resources.
• Foster and/or develop productive partnerships with vendors, suppliers, Colgate Marketing, Sales, Engineering and R&D teams to enhance equipment performance and/or product quality
• Demonstrate active support for new formulations, bundles and packaging launches.
• Support EHS initiatives which will drive the TRR and LWD rates;
• Support the Quality initiatives that will drive improvement in non-conformances and micro, drive effective implementation of new products; on-time completions of bi-annual SOP review with the teams; and Quality audit preparation initiatives.
• Implement the standards of FP&R within the teams, with focused emphasis in regards to People Capability, Visual Workplace, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance and Continuous Improvement.
• Area Leaders in all areas of the facility have responsibilities as follows: administering an annual review of the PSM procedures with the teams, as well as documenting Emergency Shutdown testing.Training and onboarding new operator technicians and ensuring they are in compliance with site policy for working on or around covered processes and complete a PSM 100 workshop within one calendar year from hire date.
• Assist the plant to achieve Fund-the Growth Savings by optimizing labor and maintenance costs as well as actively participate in the plant FTG ideation session.
• Uses SAP data to set the production plan and schedule requirements.
• Develops and executes strategies to consistently manufacture and ensure the quality of finished goods.
• Develops a team-based organization to drive business performance.
• Motivates the workforce to achieve business objectives.
• Understands technical processes in the factory.
• Ensures that equipment and processes are capable of meeting production schedules, customer demands, and Quality and Microbiology targets.
• Communicates the need for and impact of Quality, Microbiology and EOHS standards while ensuring implementation.
• Applies budgeting processes to develop site capital and expense budgets, and to execute cost-control programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• At least 3 years functional manufacturing experience or Master's Degree with 2 years functional manufacturing experience required (Engineering/Business degree preferred).
• Good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and chemical fields as well as plant equipment required.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to be self-motivated and work independently at times
• Leadership experience in managing hourly employees
• Computer experience in Google, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience within or demonstrated understanding of the Quality function within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and operate creatively in ambiguous situations to meet business objectives.
• A working knowledge of SAP, WMS, and plant floor systems required.
