Job description
The KYC Operations Quality Senior Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to provide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting services in coordination with the Compliance and Control team. The overall objective of this role is to drive the development and management of a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior oversight of KYC Operations Quality Control teams, senior point of escalation for the team and its stakeholders, represent the KYC Quality Control function in senior management discussions and key stakeholder meeting across the business, compliance and operations and serve as central point of coordination for vendor strategy and third party interactions
- Serve as key contributor to the Global KYC strategy and partner with the Global Management team to develop a target operating model encompassing people, process and technology
- Ensure effective governance of tasks and processes with reference to internal policy and external regulation
- Partner with global Compliance and KYC teams to interpret and implement new Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and work toward developing consistent processes and practices
- Develop the ongoing KYC Quality Control training plan to develop and enhance staff knowledge of business and product
- Manage KYC Quality Control Operations project book of work, including strategic program roll out and system enhancements
- Manage and assess impact of operational implementation of technology and policy change and drives continuous improvements to quality of data and client service levels
- Create efficiencies through on-going utilization of low cost centers for data management
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Ability to manage teams.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience
- AML KYC experience required
- Quality Control experience strongly preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
This role could potentially be filled at any US Citi customer contact location.
