Job description

About the role:
As a Business Analyst, at TQL your primary objective is to assist our internal business partners by defining their needs and recommending solutions. You will be responsible for discovering, producing and analyzing information from a variety of sources, tools, processes and documentation. You will collaborate with developers, stakeholders, system architects and various subject experts to gather requirements and translate into user stories for our scrum teams.

What you'll be doing:
  • Elicite detailed requirements and benefits from your business partners
  • Analyze and document functional requirements for software development projects
  • Work with Program Managers to use requirements in developing and implementing project plans for both software development and non-software development projects
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to translate functional requirements into test plans
  • Manage change requests and incorporating them into functional requirements
  • Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
  • Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation
  • Utilize Azure DevOps as a tool to relay requirements to the necessary parties
  • Document requirements and system workflows from gathered requirements such that they can be interpreted and executed by developers and quality assurance team members
  • Anticipate the needs and workflows of the developers and quality assurance team, enabling high productivity and accuracy throughout the development and release cycle
What you need:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Knowledge of information technology required
  • At least three years of experience analyzing and defining business needs
  • Experience in SQL development: writing SQL queries, stored procedures and database design
  • Experience working heavily with end users, supporting and enhancing developed products
  • Strong influence, facilitation, communication and collaboration skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with a variety of disciplines and diverse groups of people
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, follow and achieve timelines is critical
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and able to work in a fast-paced environment
