Job description
As the newest member to the Finance team, the Financial Systems Manager will be responsible for supporting functionality and effectiveness. The Financial Systems Manager will collaborate with design-build, development and other departments to guarantee efficient information and data flow between systems for sustainable processes across the company.

Essential Job Functions
- Evaluate system functionality and effectiveness through user feedback, understanding of business needs, analysis, process documentation and develop solutions to enhance systems or leverage system capability to meet business needs
- Administrator for each finance system responsible for user entitlements, security, design and configuration and updates to support business needs; owner of applications control listing for entire company
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures related to all key finance functions on various systems
- Create, continuously enhance, and perform a formal training program for all end-users of finance systems including focused training programs for key "superusers" on each system; provide on-going user support
- Lead vendor selection process, including oversight of vendor activities, implementation and evaluate effectiveness of vendor's system delivery and on-going service support to meet end-users needs
- Collaborate with design-build, development and other departments to guarantee efficient information and data flow between systems for sustainable processes across the company
- Develop and maintain a data dashboard like Power BI or the like to support leadership in making real-time decisions that drive the business
- Extract data from various systems for business analyst, as requested
- Complete special projects upon request, including ad hoc reporting and supporting strategic initiatives
Position Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in the development and operation of efficient finance systems
- Understanding of financial and operational process flows both conceptually and within an ERP system or other finance systems
- Ability to initiate, drive and manage change effectively while ensuring a solid training program is in place
- Proven track record of delivering change with strong initiative to find solutions and improve ways of working; creative thinker able to make positive change
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Highly process-oriented; able to develop, initiate, and closely monitor processes
- Robust technical background and strong project management skills with a track record of applying program management principles, practices and techniques with a strong results orientation
- Passion for driving compliance, process improvement and training team members on finance systems
- Highly detailed-oriented with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple competing priorities
- Ability to collaborate across multiple internal business functions and with external partners
- Ability to influence and persuade
- Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Qualifications and Experience
- Five or more years in a finance, accounting, or financial systems role
- Advanced knowledge of various financial software tools (i.e. ERP, Budgeting/Forecasting, T&E Reporting, Investor Relations, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree required, business, finance or accounting preferred
- Knowledge of various systems and related technologies
- Proficient strategic, analytical, and financial modeling skills
Safety Hazard of the Job
Normal safety hazards associated with office work, and with occasional observational visits to construction sites.
Physical Demands
Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk. Maximum unassisted lift is 35 lbs. Average lift is less than 10 lbs. Requires ability to use a keyboard and monitor. Also requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone. May require some travel by car.
Environmental Requirements
Average inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required. Ambient temperature is between 68F and 76F.
