Position Description Job SummaryJob Summary:The Compression Molding Operatorwill perform tasks associated with the production of molded Thermoplastic and Thermoset materials used in the Aerospace and Industrialindustries. This position will set-up all required mold tooling and materials per work order instructions. In addition, this role will be responsible for operating molding presses, handling tool equipment and forklift operations to perform job duties. The role is responsible for running production orders safely while maintaining quality of molded products.3rd Shift Days/Hours: Sunday-Thursday,10:30pm-7:00amEssential Functions: Weigh and load preforms into molds of various sizes. Hand load inserts into molds. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and by following manufacturer's instructions, informing supervisors and team leads when machinery needs serviced.\ Unload finished parts using various hand tools. Manually control processes using electronic controls and gages. Trim and deburr parts using hand tools and shop routers. Make quality parts that meet customer specifications and deadlines, without rejection, in a fast paced work environment. Complete all paperwork correctly and legibly. Follow all safety requirements pertaining to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and operation of equipment. Maintains work space before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles. Follow work order instructions and perform part inspection for dimension and quality. Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.Required Qualifications High School diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred. Previous compression molding experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. 6+ months' experience working in a manufacturing environment is required. Basic computer and math skills. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in above average temperatures.
