Job description

As Marketing and eCommerce Coordinator at Hilton Columbus Downtown, you will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies to promote revenue growth and generation in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. In addition, this position will play a major role in the property's upcoming expansion to 1,000 rooms, unveiling Fall 2022.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


    -Supporting the Director of Marketing in establishing and executing the property's marketing strategy
    -Design all marketing collateral, including but not limited to: expansion-related materials, wedding/catering menus, general sales eBrochures, recruitment content, ad creative and social media graphics
    -Maintain online brand presence by curating new content, auditing and updating each website (including brand.com and property-specific sites built on WIX), Google My Business and OTA site pages
    -Own all social platforms for the hotel (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
    -Social media champion and curator of property-specific content (taking photos of food/drink, highlighting team members, newsworthy happenings related to expansion and local neighborhood)
    -Plan and implement social calendar focused on creating engaging posts, curating user-generated content and growing audience.
    -Respond to all comments and messages on social media and travel review sites on a daily basis
    -Coordinate blogger outreach and influencer stays in anticipation of expansion unveiling; prepare influencer agreements and media release forms
    -Draft ad copy, determine imagery and assist with optimization of ad budget across OTA platform
    -Support marketing ancillary outlets (including 4 new food & beverage concepts) to generate transient/local market revenue
    -Measure and report on results/impact of marketing strategies, optimizing where needed
    -Cultivate and maintain strong, positive media relationships on a local level through personal contact, interactions at events, meetings and familiarization tours. This role will serve as the primary in-person marketing liaison for press inquiries and will coordinate press visits and events.
    -Ability to execute photo and video shoots as needed


Skills and Qualifications

    -Extensive knowledge of marketing communication mediums to include but not limited to traditional, digital, and social channels
    -Excellent written skills sufficient to produce internal/external sales and marketing communicatioN
    - Ability to manage multiple projects across different departments simultaneously to achieve deadlines
    -Strong attention to detail
    -Software/Program Skills/Knowledge:

    -Proficiency in creative platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva ( required )
    -Ability to navigate CMS platforms ( required)
    -Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel & Outlook)
    -Social platforms and project-based systems (such as Trello)
