The Technical Consultant-PeopleSoft will be responsible for technical excellence, governance and leadership within the Corporate Systems space. This individual contributor role will draw upon their experience in software development, with specific knowledge of PeopleSoft, to contribute and guide Express corporate systems applications. This individual will work across multiple applications, understanding architecture principles, collaborating with business partners, and drive current projects with an eye to the future.
Strong communication skills are essential, as this role will collaborate with business partners, technology leaders and peers. Strong negotiating skills will assist this candidate to ensure our team develops technology solutions that meet the business needs while adhering to software development best practices. The person who fills this role is an expert in PeopleSoft, and will work with multiple teams of application developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and creative.
The Technical Consultant will help lead projects, provide overall product direction, review changes, and assist in delivery and deployment of PeopleSoft projects. This position must understand PeopleSoft Architecture,RDBMS, cloud systems, Reporting and Web Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and thorough estimates of time and resources necessary to complete business needs
- Take part in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC): design, development, testing, deployment, and maintaining
- In each phase of the SDLC, able to engage and provide recommendations to experts of cross functional disciplines
- Develop efficient solutions including customizations and bolt-on solutions within the PeopleSoft environment that meets customer business needs and request
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support activities on a rotating schedule basis
Required Experience:
- Four-year degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of course work and job experience
- 7+ years of hands on programming experience in PeopleSoft and experience conducting business analysis with technical and non-technical staff
- Experience working in cloud environments and understanding of cloud infrastructureis a plus
- Experience with the functional configurations in PeopleSoft FSCM and/or HCM
- Experience in Approval Workflow Engine to support customized self service application
- Experience in Integration technologies in PeopleSoft (Integration Broker, CI, Application Engine)
- Experience in PeopleSoft reporting technologies
- Ability to quickly identify the root cause for production issues and provide quick resolutions to ensure no disruption to business
