Job description

The Logistics Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist's role encompasses full cycle recruiting. This role ensures compliance with Independent Contractors onboarding paperwork and ensures new hire understanding of OSHA regulatory compliance. This position embraces being team-oriented by collaborating and supporting the needs of the Delivery Center's Operations team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts preliminary screens of Driver profiles utilizing an ATS, matching profiles to requisition, and updating all databases
  • Utilizes knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and executes innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business
  • Manage recruitment for multiple locations, both local and remote locations
  • Develops and implements social media pipeline creation strategy focused on specific markets, to include daily communication with applicants on various communication platforms
  • Collaborates with department managers to ensure appropriate hiring needs
  • Responsible for financial recovery utilizing weekly reports, accurate new driver audit integrity, and any other tools developed and agreed to
  • Coordinates & supports orientation and training to ensures compliance with all aspects of onboarding
  • Serves as a point of contact to mitigate Driver's questions and/or concerns
  • Order processing, entry, and tracking
  • Order assignment
  • Oversight of sorting and distribution of assigned work.
  • Resource scheduling
  • Pursue and help implement best practices for process improvements
  • Flexibility to adjust weekly hours to meet the needs of the business
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% monthly

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years of transportation/logistics experience required
  • Proven experience conducting various types of interviews (i.e., phone, video, etc.) At least 1 yr. of experience

QUALKIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong organizational skills, time management and attention to detail is a must
  • Knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, Outlook and general application programs
  • Flourishes in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
  • Familiarity with labor laws, State & Federal
