Description

Robert Half is looking for a Senior Power BI Architect for a company in Independence, OH. They will be responsible for defining, designing, developing and supporting Power BI data models and visualizations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of Power BI and data warehouse environments. In addition to technical know-how, this individual will have a strong business acumen and be able to translate customer use cases and stories into impactful and efficient visualization designs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders.

• Determine business information and reporting requirements with key subject matter experts through a variety of interviewing and facilitation techniques

• Document, design, develop and support Power BI data models and visualizations.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with technology teams and business partners to facilitate improved alignment of technology initiatives to business strategies

• Monitor data science trends, emerging tools and technologies to continually improve frameworks, processes and best practices

• Act as subject matter expert in the implementation of new approaches, identifying the optimal blend of measurement and analytic techniques to present data and analytics clearly to all levels of the organization

• Promote a self-service oriented user community and a data-driven, fact-based, decision-making culture with high accountability and ownership

• Ensure that architectural designs adhere to standards/principles and follow usability design standards

• Provide Power BI technical and architectural guidance to projects and teams, ensuring that new initiatives enable effective reporting and analyses

• Assist and train data analysts in various data mining and reporting techniques

• Assume administration role for the Power BI cloud service.

• Mentor technical and non-technical in developing and using Power BI solutions.

• Stay informed of new developments and technologies by reading, journals and other pertinent publications, maintaining contact with vendors, and participating in professional organizations, meetings and seminars
