What Product or Services Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health
The Senior Product Manager, Global Exam Gloves Portfolio, is responsible for owning and driving the Exam Glove business, one of the largest Cardinal Health Brand drivers of revenue in the medical segment, and the largest driver in our Personal Protective Equipment portfolio. This role is responsible for defining the product strategy, market strategy, and life cycle management- including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding and globalization of the portfolio.
This leader will exhibit a customer-centric mindset with an ability to translate market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business. By being able to clearly identify customer and product requirements, this leader will be accountable for gaining cross functional support and will be skilled at navigating the matrix to drive execution from all stakeholders to make these required changes.

Identifies and remains current on market trends. Determines product/service lifecycle implications and makes recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success.
Understands methods available to execute primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio/ product decisions. Can identify market opportunities through VOC/secondary research and takes action by implementing and managing solutions that meet customer needs
Demonstrates knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan that includes identifying the appropriate channels to market. Has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning.
Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications.
Works effectively across cross functional groups including but not limited to IT, communications, operations, and sales.
Accountabilities
Identify ways to enable growth within strategic initiatives working in collaboration with regional marketing and cross functional teams
For assigned strategic initiatives, identify where to invest time and resources to expand new and existing products; work w/Commercial Enablement, Global Product Manager, Global Portfolio Manager to execute
For key initiatives/markets: Translates regional market and customer needs into clearly defined customer requirements to inform product and market development
Global supply and demand planning oversight (e.g., critical codes), annual fiscal forecast/ allocation and 5-year forecast refresh
Provide updates to regions related to product availability, important dates, supply issues, or other key dynamics that impact customers and/or financial obligations
Main point of contact for operations teams (Global Planning, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, etc.) for day-to-day maintenance of business needs
Work with GBU finance partner and Regional Marketing to understand monthly and YTD financial performance drivers; establishes monthly financial talking points for leadership
GBU lead for special projects tied to regional responsibilities; is the GBU representative for meetings and report outs on project activities/ progress noting any key risks & mitigation to project success
Is a product expert that understands the nuances to each product family in the portfolio
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred. Masters degree preferred.
8+ years experience in related field, preferred.
A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either: 2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine OR 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
