Summary:
Serves as the key point of contact for employees and leadership within The MetroHealth System (MHS) in facilitating Human Resources (HR) transactions and processes. Responds to routine inquires, providing reference to HR policies and procedures. Coordinates onboarding activities for new employees and the contingent workforce. Accurately maintains employee records changes throughout the employment life cycle. Provides specialized human resources project support as assigned. Coordinates HR event planning needs spanning from organization-wide initiatives to HR specific activities. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Responsibilities:
1. Serves as the key point of contact for MHS employees and leadership in facilitating Human Resources (HR) transactions and processes. Administers various HR processes including, but not limited to, employment status changes, employee cost center changes, employment termination process, referral bonus program, BSN commitment compliance, etc. Ensures processing is completed in an accurate, timely, and consistent manner. Coordinates main campus display table reservations. Continuously seeks to streamline and enhance procedures, making recommendations for change as appropriate.

2. Responds to routine inquires, including answering and screening telephone calls; taking and relaying messages; providing information. Provides reference to HR policies and procedures. Exercises discretionary decision-making ability in replying to telephone and written inquiries. Escalating complex inquiries to HR Centers of Excellence to resolve issues/problems.

3. Coordinates onboarding activities for new employees and the contingent workforce.

4. Coordinates HR event planning needs spanning from organization-wide initiatives (i.e.: employee recognition breakfast and annual dinner) to HR specific activities (ie: Town Halls, Lunch and Learns).

5. Provides administrative support to the HR Centers of Excellence.

6. Organizes the HR file and supply storage rooms to ensure areas are orderly and accessible. Creates and maintains a central supply area; maintaining appropriate office supply inventory, ordering inventory as needed.

7. Provides specialized project support, (such as coordinating the Northcoast 99 submission), as assigned.

8. Provide administrative support for HR leadership as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field.
In lieu of degree, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
Prior HR experience to include completion of an HR internship or 1 year employment in a large HR department.
Proven ability to interact credibly and effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and follow through.
Strong organizational skills, effective time management and follow-up skills with a capacity to deal with multiple, changing priorities.
Sound, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) or similar software packages.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills conveying competence and professionalism.

Preferred:
Human Resources Certification: PHR, SHRM-CP.

Physical Demands:
May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to read job related documents.
Ability to use computer.
