Job description

· Provides support in functional areas of a human resources department, which may include recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development and training.

· May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

· Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a the HR field.

· Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Requirements

· Recruits, screens, interviews, and performs background checks. Refers qualified hourly and salaried applicants to appropriate management personnel to maintain a quality work force geared to our progressive employment philosophy.

· Assists the Human Resource Manager in planning and organizing new employee orientation program. Works with the Human Resource Manager to promote involvement throughout the plant.

· Orients new hourly and salaried employees to the plant policies, procedures, regulations, and fringe benefits including medical insurance and pension systems to assure that they understand conditions and benefits of employment.
