Job title: Human Resource Generalist

Pay: Commensurate with experience

Job Purpose

The Human Resources Generalist will be committed to recruiting top talent and providing our team with an exceptional work experience. You will be the cultural ambassador, supporting all employees while maintaining an enterprise perspective to ensure consistent application of HR practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must take a strategic HR and hands on approach with daily challenges
  • Manages talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
  • Coordinate logistics for new hire orientations and employee training sessions
  • Keeps job descriptions up-to-date, accurate and compliant with relevant federal, state, and local laws
  • Develops and maintains training and performance management programs
  • Must have the ability to influence leaders and coach employees within the organization
  • Project management of HR projects, and must demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, implement, and close multiple projects simultaneously on various topics within HR work streams
  • Manages the annual Open Enrollment process and all benefits administration
  • Maintain all OSHA logs, reporting and posting in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Time and attendance tracking
  • Manages unemployment cases
  • Handles investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts
  • Ensures all employment practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Tracks vacation accruals and usage
  • Track and report HR metrics and performance
  • Manage employee engagement and coordinate company event planning
  • Responsible for COVID tracking and documentation and policy implementation

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related human resource experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing organization preferred
  • Acts with sense of urgency, is a self-starter, demonstrated ethics and credibility; results driven
  • Influencing and consulting skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and follow up on concurrent tasks and elevating issues or obtaining additional resources when necessary
  • Strong professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential data
  • Must be able to multi-task with high attention to detail
  • Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking abilities
  • Strong Time Management skills
  • Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint)
