In this role, you will provide leadership for the strategic and functional direction of the Human Resources department and serve as a critical thought partner and member of the Executive Team. This position provides strategic and innovative advice for the senior leaders to support short and long-term business objectives and to position the organization as the employer of choice. As the V.P. of Human Resources, you will help implement and drive policies and practices to ensure the Human Resources team is supporting the mission, its employees, and the regulatory and compliance standards at a state and federal level. You will support the organizational strategy through effective, innovative recruitment and retention strategies for top talent, including the development of staff and managers through professional growth and succession planning.

Some of the Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute on the human resources and employment strategy: Directs the overall operation of the Human Resources department, which includes talent acquisition/recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and labor relations.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal personnel and human resources policies and procedures: Oversees the Human Resources team to ensure compliance with established laws, policies, practices, and services. Oversee Workers Compensation.
  • Maximize the value of human capital: Develops and owns company programs for developing a leadership pipeline to include college recruiting, management development programs, and executive development programs. Regularly reports to executive management on the status of the leadership pipeline and available resources.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Master's degree (OR) bachelor's degree in either business administration or human resources management with equivalent experience, Juris Doctorate (JD) degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 16+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources Management of a multistate/national company, with experience in HR Management, Compensation and Development.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in healthcare and/or human resources leadership/decision making roles, senior living experience being a plus
  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in managing personnel.
  • Minimum five (5) years' labor relations experience, including experience as a lead negotiator.
  • Demonstrated oversight of enterprise-level HRIS implementations and HRIS strategy development and deployment
