General Statement of Duties: The City of Eugene Information Services Division (ISD) is looking for a PeopleSoft Application Systems Developer who loves application support and keeping projects moving quickly! We are a team of dedicated and innovative people who share a love of working with technology to solve problems. You will have the opportunity to creatively support our citywide PeopleSoft systems for an organization with extensive opportunities to learn and make a difference in a community that cares about you. The PeopleSoft Developer provides direct support for the design, customization, development, implementation and upgrades of enterprise-wide application software from multiple sources, both in-house and vendor-provided such as PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, and PeopleSoft ELM 9.2. MUST PASS A CRIMINAL RECORDS CHECK Examples of Duties Performed - Duties may include but are not limited to the following: * Configure and Develop the PeopleSoft system to meet business requirements * Advise on available options, risks, and any impacts on other processes or systems * Provide PeopleSoft technical services by acting as subject matter expert and working with organization through the entire systems development lifecycle. * AssistinfullyintegratingthePeopleSoftsystemintothecurrentbusinessenvironmentsandprovideinputonbestpractices. * Create new robust frameworks: Ensure scalability and reusability that can be used by various departments across the City of Eugene. * Collaboration: With all ISD team members; serving as a liaison to PM, Business Analyst, and Managers as needed * Troubleshooting: Assists other developers with existing data systems and solves complexsoftware related problems, including complex issues that would involve working with otherteams. * IntroducenewtechnologiestotheISDteams. * Createsand/oradjustssystemdocumentation;coachesusersonnewlydevelopedsystemsasneeded. * Develops with the quality development of citywide standards for data, program, documentation, and analysis and design standards. * EnsuresimplementationofandadherencetotheCity'sAffirmativeActionandDiversityWorkPlans. * Participates on committees and task teams. * May serve as project leader. * May be assigned project leadership duties. * Performs related duties as assigned. To view detailed information on the duties, knowledge, and abilities that may be expected for this position, please see the classification: PeopleSoft Developer Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position will demonstrate: * Experience developing and modifying Application Package, Application Engine, PeopleCode, PS Query, Component Interface, File Layout, SQR, Content References, Mouse Over, Related Content Services, Drop Zones. * ExperienceusingdevelopmenttoolssuchasApplicationDesigner,DataMover,BIPublisherandIntegrationBroker. * Experience in Administering PeopleSoft Servers and Systems (i.e. WebLogic, Elasticsearch, PeopleSoft Applications Servers, PUM Servers, Microsoft SQL Servers). * Experiencemanaging and administering PeopleSoft Update Manager and Change Assistant. * Experienceusing Application Designer HTML Compare Tools and developing object migration plan. * Experiencedeveloping, migrating, and retrofitting objects to different releases. * Experienceusing Enterprise Component Tools such as Approval Framework, Security Deployment, Forms, WorkCenters / Dashboards, Activity Guide Composer, Data Privacy Framework, Page and Field Configurator. * TheabilitytouseSQL(MicrosoftSQL)foranalyzinganddevelopingapplications. * The ability to implement, configure, and support PeopleSoft modules and applications PeopleSoft 9.2 experience in any of the following HCM, ELM or FSCM - Workforce Administration, Core HR, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Time & Labor, Absence Management, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, eProcurement, Cash Management, Commitment Accounting, Project Costing, Asset Management, Learning Programs, & Catalogs, Enrollment & Registration. * Excellentcommunicationskills&adrivetounderstandcustomersExperienceworkingeffectivelyinateamenvironment. * Excellentproblem-solvingskills&apioneeringspirit. * Obsessiveattentiontodetailwithastronginterestinautomatinganythingthatneedstobedonetwice. * Experience with EasyVista or a similar ticket tracking system. * Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
