Firstlight Homecare is currently seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Liaison to join our team in the Southwest Portland Metro Area.
Summary
Successful Liaisons will educate the community about the services provided by Firstlight Homecare and will develop and maintain positive relationships with families, caregivers, medical professionals, and the communities we serve in order to promote our services. Through the building of long-term relationships, the Liaison will facilitate the identification and assessment of medically appropriate patients for admission to our services.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to patient referrals and initiates/ perform the admission process.
- Interacts clearly and professionally with patients and families, while gathering additional clinical information and past history.
- Conduct pre-screening of potential patients to determine their eligibility for admission
- Maintains effective communication with patients, families, healthcare providers, employers, clients, and team members.
- Promote our services to qualified patients and their family members or caregivers
- Develops relationships in the community on behalf of the agency.
- Schedules speaking engagements at community events.
- Works with the facility's marketing and sales team to bring awareness of the facility's strengths and services into the community at large.
- Meet or Exceed quarterly revenue and referral goals
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be customer service-oriented.
- Must have excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry.
- Must be an active listener.
- Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge of databases.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be an effective time manager and multi-tasker.
Preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
Sales Experience
CNA, CMA or LPN credentials
Bachelor's Degree
Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR.Work Environment
- Must be able to work in a variety of healthcare settings such as hospital, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers and hospices.
- Must be able to work with patients who are extremely ill and even dying.
- Must be able to work regular daytime hours of 8 am to 5pm Monday through Friday, but be flexible enough to work longer hours at times to meet patient/ family needs. This job includes weekend rotations.
- Time will be spent driving to various medical facilities and patient's homes.
- Time will be spent looking at a computer screen and operating a keyboard.
Salary
- Salaries can range from $40,000 to $60000 depending on a number of factors including the level of education and the years of experience.
- Generous Bonus Program.
