Job description

OptiMIM, a Form Technologies Company, uses state-of-the-art metal injection molding technology to create high performing small precision metal components to almost any level of complexity and at virtually any volume. We are seeking to add a day shift Furnace Specialist to our Furnace department. If you have at least one-year of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you!

Furnace Specialists are responsible for the processing of "green" molded parts into sintered product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule, load, startup, unload and clean furnaces between each run.
• Perform metallurgical inspection after each run to determine product quality and work with engineers or maintenance to fix any product quality or maintenance problems
• Prioritizing and scheduling which lots will run in each furnace load
• Using and cleaning Leco carbon analyzers
• Creating metallurgical sample mounts and determining grain size

REQUIREMENTS:

• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required such as hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, etc.
• Ability to work in an environment with extreme temperatures and humidity
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, talk, hear, see and work on elevated platforms
• May be required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday
• Ability to work as needed to meet business needs.
• Due to ITAR requirements, employees must be a US Citizen or a current Green Card holder.

Schedule: Day Shift, Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
