Job description

UWorld is looking for a Business Development Representative based in the Southern region to join our current team from approximately October through early January. This position's main goal is to drive revenue in an assigned territory and to build and develop relationships yielding business agreements with universities, colleges, accounting firms, professional societies, and companies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute all elements of a proactive local sales strategy, including interacting with external clients, prospects and organizations to provide accurate and updated information regarding the UWorld Roger CPA Product and the CPA Exam.
  • Create and execute account-specific strategies for all assigned and prospective accounts in order to grow revenue in an assigned territory.
  • Identify opportunities for new business and for growth at existing accounts and pursue those opportunities to close.
  • Support and maintain existing customer base while continuing to expand market presence and build new business
  • Develop and execute individualized sales and marketing strategies within each campus in designated territory. Responsibilities specific to Universities include:


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (mandatory)
  • 2+ years of Business Development and/or Sales & Marketing, preferably in the CPA Review, Accounting Industry or Education Industry
  • Excellent interpersonal (both verbal and written) communication skills
  • Excellent public speaking skills and confidence when pitching products and services
  • Excellent business judgment, effective at articulating value propositions to customers
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently
  • Excellent team player, and ability to shift priorities, demonstrate flexibility, coordinate multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines
  • High energy level and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research
  • A car (mileage reimbursement at established company rate) and ability to travel throughout assigned region for events (and sometimes nationally)
