MARKETING GRAPHIC ARTIST
SCOPE:
The Graphic Artist is responsible for managing graphic needs and visual communication to support Marketing, Sales and New Product Development activities. This position develops concepts and original designs for packaging, sales collateral materials, sales presentations, video, and digital marketing needs while aligning with the product marketing and selling plans for the Company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage graphic arts, photographic and visual communication activities to support Marketing, Sales, and Product Development.
- Generate creative solutions, translate concepts and information into images, use feedback to modify designs, apply design principles with high attention to detail while ensuring consistency to corporate Brand Guidelines.
- Develop original concepts for advertisements, packaging, sales collateral materials, tradeshows, marketing and sales presentations and projects including actual design and layout of all aspects of the project. Essential elements include photos, type, graphic elements, rendering objects or elements to enhance the design.
- Maintain and update electronic packaging and labeling for Lab and Preventive product lines. Provide digital artwork for packaging and labeling.
- Assist Product Managers in developing materials that maximize creative content while maintaining effective cost structures.
- Support and work with the Clinical Education team for the development, creation, and execution of laboratory instructions for use, technique sheets, co-op flyers, posters and programs.
- Work with the Graphic Services Manager to produce miscellaneous marketing materials for dental meetings and tradeshows as needed.
- Coordinate and manage foreign language translations required for multi-lingual packaging and directions.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), e-mail and Internet.
- Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite software including inDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Digital photography skills, knowledge of video production preferred, knowledge of packaging design, label printing, printing processes and digital marketing a plus.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Interpersonal skills to include teambuilding, sharing expertise with others and serving as an in-house expert for all artistic and creative matters.
- Strong decision-making skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comprehensive organization and analytical skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or related field preferred.
- 3 - 5 year's experience as a commercial artist or graphic designer in a manufacturing / marketing environment preferred.
