The FP&A Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be responsible for providing financial leadership, support, and analysis for the J&J Innovation group, including support for the J&J Innovation centers and J&J Development Corporation. JJI supports early-stage innovation to enable the identification and onboarding of new products and technologies across all sectors. Johnson & Johnson Innovation - JJDC, a component of J&J Innovation, is J&J's Corporate Venture Capital subsidiary and makes equity investments in venture stage and publicly traded health care companies on behalf of Johnson & Johnson. The Johnson & Johnson Innovation teams, including the JJDC Investor group, are located at our Global IC's in Boston MA, Menlo Park CA, Shanghai China and London, UK
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership and support to various groups in JJI including the Innovation Centers and JJDC Finance. Requires a high level of coordination among different stakeholders across various finance and JJDC reporting teams
- Support the Business Plan, Long Range Financial Plan, close and forecast updates for various groups; coordinate portfolio FP&A inputs and reconciliation of the JJDC Portfolio
- Play a leadership role on the IT strategy and data council by developing the forecast for IT projects across JJI and ensuring projects/programs within each group are appropriately prioritized, taking into consideration strategy as well as current and long-term funding/resource requirements
- Support the quarterly close process and compliance activities, including integration of new systems and processes in support of future state finance initiatives
- Support, and at times lead, the consolidation of JJI and Enterprise Innovation results for Corporate and Senior Leadership
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance
- An MBA and/or CPA, CMA or other advanced certifications are preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting and finance experience is required
- Must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong collaborator and validated business partner with ability to influence all levels of the organization is required
- Experienced professional with strong communication skills who can interact with senior management is required
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to recommend and implement operational improvements is required
- This position can be located in PA or NJ, with preference in New Brunswick, NJ and will require up to 10% travel
