The Production Clerk is responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties in a production setting. The Production Clerk gathers and delivers information to the production floor, enters and compiles data, generates reports and organizes production data files.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter and retrieve data from the MRP system
- Perform work order transactions and resolve transaction errors
- Create and close work orders
- Print and distribute work center schedules and other documents
- Generate and distribute reports from bulk data
- Files production, continuous improvement, safety, and training records
- Updates production documentation
- Enter, update, and retrieve data from maintenance and warehouse software systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in cycle counting
- Receive, label, and put away maintenance and production inventory
Critical Competencies
- Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office applications, especially with Excel
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Able to follow directions
- Attention to detail -careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Demand and Work Environment:
Work environment includes occasional exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels and dust particles. The incumbent would spend a few hours daily in the direct production environment. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during shift.
Physical requirements include lifting up to 50lbs, standing for long periods of time, stooping, squatting, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
