$1,000 sign on bonus eligible for the Denver, PA location!

Work Hours 7:00am to 3:30pm. Some flexibility needed for later hours on special projects.

New starting wage $15.75 per hour. Higher pay rates may be available for candidates with prior animal care experience.

Candidates that have previous experience working with animals, in sanitation, housekeeping, warehouse operations, production and inventory control are encouraged to apply!

As an Animal Care Technician you'll work closely with the large animal population to include dogs, cats and primates.

Duties include, but are not limited to-

♦ Perform blood draws including exsanguinations on specific species according to protocol and client request.

♦ Daily observation of animal health status.

♦ Good documentation practices

♦ Assist with the receiving of animals into the animal facility.

♦ Assist with the operation of the autoclave.

♦ Adhere to strict SOP's, assist with review and update of applicable SOP's

♦ Understand the care and husbandry requirements of the animals according to the Guide

♦ Assist with animal and supply inventories

♦ Assist with laundry detail for work area.

♦ Stock supplies for building.

♦ Perform various types of inoculations on all species with assistance pertaining to your work area.

♦ Cleaning of buildings, cages, walls, floors, and daily clean-up of designated work areas. Including barrier shower facility

♦ Daily feeding of all species.

♦ Assist with projects under the Bio-Safety Cabinet or laminar flow hood if applicable

♦ Must be able to receive training with specific animals, such as: Non-human primates, swine, canines,

and ferrets, felines in addition to rodents, rabbits and guinea pigs if applicable

♦ GRP training.

♦ Weekend/ holiday feeding duties.

♦ Capable of working in ABSL-2 conditions if applicable
