As a key member of the Portfolio and Resource Management team, you will be part of UnitedHealth Group's mission of helping people live healthier lives. We have an opportunity for a Resource & Capacity Planning Business Analyst role working within our Portfolio and Resource Management team supporting Medicare & Retirement's Insurance Solutions business. The Portfolio and Resource Management team is responsible for intake and prioritization of new projects into the overall business portfolio, including road mapping and forecasting resource availability to plan for work.
This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing and maintaining capacity planning and road mapping models. You'll be expected to interpret and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Liaison between IT, operational and business resource managers
- Drives innovative thoughts, solving complex problems and developing innovative solutions
- Change Agent for new business processes
- Present analysis and interpretation for portfolio review and planning
- Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis
- Develop recommended solutions through research and analysis of data
- Identifies gaps and provides solutions
- Positive role model for the organization representing UHC at meetings
- Supports, embraces, and promotes the United corporate culture
- Serves as a key resource on complex and / or critical issues
- Support functional or segment teams or projects
- Can adapt and react professionally as the point of escalation
This role will be Horsham, PA based with potential for remote work.

Required Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in Resource Capacity Planning and Management
- 2+ years of experience in working with large data sets and relational databases
- 2+ years of experience in Excel in merging large datasets from multiple data sources to facilitate full analysis activities
- 2+ years of experience with Tableau or other data visualization programs (PowerBI)
- 2+ years of experience as a liaison between members of a large, matrixed organization - from C-level to developers and fellow analysts
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in portfolio management
- 2+ years of experience with Portfolio Management tools and standards
- Experience in making data visual
- Basic understanding of business financial operations
- SharePoint experience
- Knowledgeable in Agile
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Excellent communication skills: written, visual and presentations

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
