Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides functional area support, documentation and training for business applications Serves as a liaison between Business Enterprise Support Team and the internal customer or end user. Acts as a skilled functional representative from business process and system usage perspective. Follows an established requirements gathering process to identify requirements. Communicates requirements to the development teams through the use of product and technical specifications, project plans, analysis artifacts, or other forms of documentation which are used as the basis for the design, construction, and implementation of business and software solutions. Coordinates with Business Systems Consultants, developers, and users to test processes and ensure functionality and user acceptance. Develops user documentation or training materials.

Essential job functions AND responsibilities:

* Provides first level support in researching and addressing issues for business system applications. Works directly with system users on process efficiency using the system.
* Acts as a skilled representative of business process and system usage. Analyzes current business processes and makes recommendations to ensure the system is utilized to its full capacity. Ensures system data integrity.
* Participates in system solutions and enhancements to meet business needs. Gathers precise requirements from system users and participates in creating specifications and project plans for system enhancements. Develops test scenarios and completes thorough testing of changes/enhancements.
* Develops and maintains well defined, clearly written functional documentation and training materials. Effectively trains end users on new processes/functionality as required, including new employees.
* Participates in cross training and provides backup support for functional areas as requested.
* Develops, tests and maintains/troubleshoots reports to meet business information needs, following prescribed methodologies and processes.
* Serves as a business analyst on complex projects with direct supervision. Estimates analysis tasks with knowledge of dependencies and risks with help from team lead or department supervision.
* Provides activity status to lead business analyst and/or the project manager, as well as, communicating to all dependent stakeholders.
* Participate in other projects or duties.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

* Working knowledge of Salesforce required
* Working knowledge of Configurator, Pricing, Quoting experience that works with SF Platform preferred
* Working knowledge of Workday Applications a plus
* Strong analysis, documentation and troubleshooting skills required
* Effective verbal and written communication skills required
* Strong teamwork skills required
* Strong attention to detail and proven ability to consistently meet deadlines required
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data required
* Ability to track multiple topics concurrently is required
* Ability to self-manage time and tasks/requests is required
* Knowledge of business operations, requirements processes, and technical environments as well as basic business analysis concepts.
* Ability to apply professional concepts and experience to evaluate identifiable factors in order to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
* Ability to work with moderate supervision.
* Ability to network with senior internal and external personnel.
* Must be results oriented, customer focused, and exhibit good interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.

EDUCATION, TRAINING:

* Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent work experience required
* 3+ years of experience working with end users and business-area process leaders to develop requirements for new and enhanced functionality required
* 3+ years of experience supporting end users within a functional area required
* 3+ years of experience in a corporate environment with ERP/Cloud applications required
* Experience using SQL-based reporting tools to extract and present data from ERP/CRM or similar business applications, including identifying key data elements and their interrelationships preferred
* Experience with Service Now service desk software is a plus
* Experience with Jira is a plus
* Or equivalent combination of education and experience
