Division Description: PDC is a global leader in people identification solutions, manufacturing high-quality, innovative identification products for a wide assortment of industries. PDC is headquartered in Valencia, CA and has offices globally. PDC has just over 1,500 people and manufacturers its products in six manufacturing sites spanning the U.S., Europe, Mexico and China.
Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior HR Generalist include employee on-boarding, HRIS administration, leave of absence management, training compliance/coordination, metric tracking, safety administration, workers' compensation claim management, Affirmative Action compliance, and coordinating company events. Additionally, this position will be a partner and consultant to our hiring managers and responsible for delivering all facets of talent acquisition delivery and support for our PDC Americas businesses across US and Canada. Locations include Valencia, CA; Manheim, PA; Port Orange, FL; Lowell, MA, and Ontario, Canada. Success will be achieved through developing and executing national and local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative talent sourcing tactics. This position plays a critical role in ensuring PDC Americas secures and retains the best possible talent, emphasizing quality and diversity of internal and external hires.
WHAT ARE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Leads employee training, new hire orientation and continuing professional development.
* Provides analytics and HRIS data to measure human resources related functions.
* Proactively manages HR systems in order to maintain integrity of employee and organizational data.
* Works with employees, supervisors and managers to resolve employee relations issues, provides coaching on performance management and advises on talent development.
* Work with workers' compensation adjusters to ensure accurate and timely handling of claims.
* Interprets basic HR policy, directs and delivers human resources services; identifies appropriate policy and procedures for specific situations.
* Serves as an employee advocate, balancing fair labor standards, Brady policy and practice and business needs.
* Ensures compliance with & integration of EEOC & AAP requirements into site HR practices.
* Lead and manage the full cycle recruiting process for PDC Americas business within the United States and Canada.
* Proactively partner and build relationships with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting and talent marketing strategies that efficiently identify high quality candidates across multiple disciplines and levels, including but not limited to sales, operations, R&D, marketing, and finance. Also, develop a strong understanding of business strategies and talent profiles to deliver on departmental hiring needs.
* Continually develop business knowledge of division and departmental objectives, industry and key division challenges, and current market dynamics.
* Maintain the highest standards to ensure positive candidate and hiring manager experience utilizing proactive communication techniques and strong execution of the recruitment process.
* Proactively identify solutions to complex issues and implement solutions that drive overall recruiting process efficiencies.
* Develop and lead university/college recruiting strategy and process for PDC US locations and represent PDC division at identified networking events and job fairs.
WHAT IS REQUIRED OF YOU:
* Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum of two years recruiting experience, including developing and executing comprehensive recruitment plans across diverse functional disciplines, in a high volume and fast paced environment.
* Demonstrated ability to consult with managers on talent needs and build/execute successful recruitment strategies based upon those needs.
* Experience and high level of comfort interacting with all levels within the organization, including senior-level management, and external vendors.
* Excellent interpersonal communication and strong collaboration skills.
* Superior service orientation with excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate across teams.
* Strong work ethic, positive attitude, results-oriented and self-motivated problem-solver.
