Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Human Resources Business Partner will require you to leverage your proven leadership expertise across the disciplines of people, culture, engagement, and performance management. This role will take on accountability for a diverse range of HR activities and driving strategic outcomes, while remaining actively engaged in the day-to-day delivery of HR services. Our HR Business Partner lives our values, understands how culture comes to life, and possesses a deep knowledge of the business and delivery of all HR services to drive outstanding performance.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance and manage employee performance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Serve as point of contact to managers in problem solving talent issues and providing general support and advisory services
  • Conduct investigations and resolve concerns and conflicts, while promoting collaboration/accountability
  • Serve as a coach and consultant to store management in developing and implementing initiatives to engage and retain employees
  • Oversee the training and career development of employees
  • Actively participate in strategies to enhance employee culture and provide support and inspiration to store leadership and associates
  • Conduct exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discuss trends and concerns with management
  • Maintain employee files and assist with administrative duties

  • A minimum of five-eight years experience working in a fast paced, challenging Human Resources environment
  • Bachelors degree and/or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required
  • Significant knowledge base in technology and learning and developmental strategies
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, processes, laws and HR best practices
  • Ability to travel to stores on a regular basis (Hanover, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, Selinsgrove, York, Lancaster)
