Job Summary The Director, Corporate Strategy, will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic and high visibility projects that help shape Comcast's enterprise wide strategy. This key contributor to the Corporate Strategy team will work with functional leaders across all of Comcast's businesses, including Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal, and Sky. The scope of the role includes identifying new growth opportunities, evaluating investment opportunities and answering key strategic questions. The Director will have the opportunity to interact with and present to executives at the highest level of the company. Day-to-day they will manage their workstreams and junior team members, and use analytical, communication and problem-solving skills to conduct in-depth analysis and make recommendations. Job Description Main Responsibilities: Oversee projects and develop strategic analyses to assess new growth and investment opportunities, and evaluate business risks for the Executive Management Committee and BU leadership Identify business, financial and operational implications. Provide business insights based on rigorous, fact-based analyses of customer needs, competitive dynamics and industry trends Evaluate new or existing projects for financial returns - IRR/ROI/ROIC Work with our international businesses to support new growth areas and further expansion Participate in business development and partnership discussions Support the launch of new products and business operations by working with key constituents across products and functions to ensure alignment with business objectives Represent the broad view of Comcast when supporting the business on specific projects or initiatives Support select internal initiatives such as strategic retreats, recruiting programs, efficiency programs Core Skills / Responsibilities: Proficiently conduct / guide complex financial and operational analysis to output Structures problem solving approaches in a logical and coherent manner Synthesize insight from multiple workstreams, data sources and team members Drives to meaningful insights and actionable recommendations based on hypotheses and analyses Creates effective slides & storylines to communicate outputs, tailored to audience & objectives Lead discussions with stakeholders and team members; Present recommendations Provide support and guidance to junior staff members; Actively offer feedback Build strong relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts across business units Keeps current on important industry trends based on analyst research, industry news Contributes to team building (i.e., coordinating trainings, organizing events, helping with recruiting) Independently manages workload across projects Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum 2-4 years of management consulting experience. 7+ years of overall strategy & development or related experience preferred MBA or post-graduate degree preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business or related field of study Experience developing business cases, financial models and senior-executive level presentations. Previous experience with the cable, telecommunications, internet, media and/or entertainment industries preferred. Other Requirements Excellent organizational, financial, interpersonal and communication skills Self-starter with ability to drive analytics independently and manage multiple projects / deadlines Excellent diplomacy, relationship building and communications skills across all levels.
