Marquis & Co. is a rapidly expanding multi-concept restaurant group. We currently operate 8 fast-casual HipCityVeg restaurants across PA, DC and NY, along with two full-service restaurants in Philadelphia, Bar Bombon and Charlie was a sinner. We're at the beginning of a rapid expansion and are looking to add a Junior Recruiter to support our HR team through this exciting time.

We're searching for someone who is enthusiastic and eager to jump in and learn from a great team. In this role, you'll be working side by side with senior management on all recruiting related needs. As the initial point of contact and first impression for candidates, we're looking for someone who can sell the mission and positively represent our brands.

The Junior Recruiter's essential role is to attract, interview and hire great people to grow our talent pipeline.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Collaborating with store and department managers to proactively identify current and future hiring needs.

· Using various sources of attracting candidates via social media, job boards, schools, employee referrals, etc. Researching strategic and creative sourcing techniques for harder to fill roles.

· Managing the company's applicant tracking database, ensuring all candidates are responded to timely, jobs are posted, and the site is updated regularly with open needs

· Screening applications and conducting initial interviews. Assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.

· Proactively sourcing through networking and on the ground canvassing and recruitment efforts

· Coordinating and participating in job fairs and new restaurant opening hiring fairs

· Managing school outreach and internship programs

· Promoting the company's benefits and reputation as a great place to work

· Adhering to the company's interview processes and coordinating all phases of interviews with candidates based on established hiring workflows

· Keeping in constant communication with candidates, ensuring that they're engaged and abreast of any updates and next steps

· Processing all pre-hire paperwork including background, social media and reference checks and drug screens

· Following-up and guiding candidates through the onboarding process, ensuring all necessary paperwork and training is completed

· Preparing reporting as needed to analyze recruiting metrics such as: headcount, turnover, retention, time to fill, sourcing methods, etc.

· Keeping up to date on current employment legislation and regulations and enforcing them within the company

· Providing additional HR assistance as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or a similar field
  • Previous experience with full life-cycle recruitment, ideally with a mix of hiring entry-level and management roles
  • Experience with recruiting in Hospitality or a similar industry preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency. Strong motivation to achieve results and meet recruiting goals
  • Must be comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization and networking within the industry to attract talent
  • Outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Proficient in time management and organization. Detail oriented to manage candidate workflows and scheduling coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of recruitment software, ATS and HRIS systems
  • Basic PC knowledge and comprehension (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of local employment laws and legislation
  • Must be comfortable with occasional travel to our different markets and restaurants
  • Respects the confidentiality of conversations and documents that are sensitive or private in nature
  • Full-time availability. This is not a remote role.

Compensation: $40,000-$45,000/year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
