Key Aspects of Manufacturing Associate: Apex systms has an immediate need for packagers to work with one of our leading food manufacturing clients in the Philadelphia, PA area!

Responsibilities:

• filling out all data on the Pack-out per HACCP and GMP requirements;
• verify pack-out with batch and vessel label;
• print all labels needed to match pails;
• retrieve and stage pails;
• fill pails to proper weight;
• cap/crimp and seal containers, inspect for leaks and label pails;
• assemble for material handling;
• assist compounders as needed;
• clean, sanitize and maintain work stations;
• complete batch yield and SDS sheets accurately and timely;
• and exercise proper caution to minimize danger when lifting, carrying, setting, hoisting and handling hazardous materials.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 1 to 3 years of related manufacturing experience in the flavor or chemical industry using computerized equipment; possess excellent mathematical, mechanical and computer skills, ability to read, interpret and follow instructions in English; ability to exercise sound judgment, trouble shoot and recommend solutions; and possess the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, bend and stand for long periods of time. Incumbent must be able to tolerate an environment of dust, powdery residues along with chemical fumes and vapors and the incumbent must be able to wear personal protective such as clothing, steel toed boots and respirator; and have no known food allergies. Must be flexible to work overtime.
