As a Business Analytics Consultant Senior on the PNC's Analytic Insights and Solutions (AIS) team within the Decision Analytics and Research (DAR) department, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

As a Business Analytics Consultant Senior you will work on the Analytic Insights and Solutions (AIS) team within the Decision Analytics and Research (DAR) department. You will be a key member of strategic consulting team that generates actionable business insights based on a variety of analytical techniques.

The successful candidate:
• will contribute a data-informed strategic perspective to discussions with business partners
• will participate in all phases of the analytical project lifecycle on one's own with minimal supervision
• must have experience in applying analytical techniques to discover insights in support of business strategies
• must have experience in analytic coding with scripting languages such as Python, R or SAS
• must be able to wrangle data from multiple and/or complex data sets - experience with Hadoop, Teradata, SQL, NoSQL is a plus
• will explore and visualize data - experience with Tableau, JMP, or visualization through R or Python packages a plus
• must have strong written and verbal communication skills - including using data to concisely and simply tell sometimes complex stories

Job Description

  • Leverages complex analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and useful applications across multiple functions or business units to create data driven solutions.
  • Consulting to clients on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development.
  • Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements.
  • Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solution for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.
  • Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences.

Emerging Technologies - Knowledge of and ability to design, apply and evaluate new information technologies for business environments in order to improve work productivity and accuracy.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
