Position Summary

Provides oversight and strategic direction to lead a team of skilled individuals focused on the design, implementation, and enhancements of cloud infrastructure. The candidate will be re-sponsible for the technology strategy, optimization and implementation of complex cloud-based system architectures and support for delivery of business solutions enabling further application modernization and advancing resiliency.

Our client provides reliable funding and liquidity to its member financial institutions, which include commercial and savings banks, community development financial institutions, credit unions and insurance companies in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Our client provides prod-ucts and resources to help support community lending, housing, and economic development. Primary Success Factors

  • Provides technical direction for the design, development, and systems integration across multiple technical architectures, specifically cloud architecture, from definition phase through implementation; works collaboratively across IT and business teams to provide necessary consultation in advancing business imperatives.
  • Manages the standardization and streamlining of all cloud implementation activities for current and next generation technology implementations including project deliverables, process improvement, strategy implementation and process automation design while managing quality and cycle time.
  • Evaluate, architect and design solutions in conjunction with technical and customer re-quirements to identify and implement new technologies.
  • Responsible for key technology infrastructure resources including cloud; security; strat-egy; research; development; planning; personnel; budget and operations.
  • Lead system migrations and consolidations, as well as planning for obsolescence and upgrades.
  • Identify critical path decisions, make recommendations, and influence program leaders and business process owners to maximize project return on investment.
  • Work with business partners to evaluate and improve business processes and arrive at a mutual cost-effective solution.
  • Responsible for oversight and management of day-to-day support functions including needs assessment, priority-setting, and the delivery of project results, including re-sources, timelines, workload planning and budgets; challenges others to develop as leaders while clarifying roles and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for providing overall prioritization of work assignments and management of technical team resources and their activities, including managing staff, scope of work, objectives, and quality of deliverables; lead projects involving members of IT and key stakeholders within other departments of our client.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure safe and sound business operations.


Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or "STEM" majors (Science, Technology, Engi-neering and Math) with minimum eight years of relevant experience
  • Seven or more years of technical IT experience with at least three years in a technical management role
  • Possesses significant knowledge of complex technical concepts including network, hardware, software, virtualization, cloud)
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills with planning, organizing, prioritizing, and co-ordinating ongoing duties of self and staff
  • Demonstrated usage of Cloud-based architectures, containerization, Kuber-netes/VMWare TKGI, server and networking virtualization, Linux and Oracle Virtualiza-tion Management platforms, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, VOIP, network monitoring (including in-trusion detection)
  • Experience implementing technical aspects of the total Infrastructure technology plat-forms including experience with CI/CD pipelines and secure software development
  • Financial services or banking background preferred
  • Strong service orientation to deliver quality-focused outcomes
  • Knowledge or experience in one or more of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, programming, data-bases and web storage and web application architectures
