Are you looking to expand your career? Robert Half is looking for professionals interested in an entry-level Financial Analyst position. This is a great entry-level Financial Analyst opportunity in which you will provide daily support to the accounting and finance departments as well as perform routine assignments and solve routine/standard problems with limited discretion. You must have prior experience working with a large sum of information. If you are a solution-oriented critical thinker with a passion for analysis, this is the Financial Analyst opportunity for you! This is a long-term contract / temporary job opportunity.

What you get to do every single day

• Compact and appraise budgets and income statement forecasts
• Support team in annual budgeting process
• Join in on monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
• Be conductive in the production of monthly financial reporting and other business data
• From time to time be able to illustrate tricky financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects
• Determine and query a wide set of data
• Capable of assisting internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits
• Work in teams on miscellaneous aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
• Offer insight to ensuring adequate controls and procedures
• Analyze actual results at the corporate and division levels
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance of a company

• Less than one year of experience preferred
• Sound written and verbal communication skills
• Budgeting experience desired
• Expertise in financial analysis
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Excellent attention to detail
• BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
• Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
• Solid computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
