Title: Human Resources Representative

Company: CemeCon, Inc. is the Center of Excellence for the coating service industry and a supplier of premium coatings and coating equipment used in the cutting tool industry. Established in Big Flats, NY 20 years ago, CemeCon, Inc. is a small group of nearly 50 team members. We are the North American subsidiary of our parent company, CemeCon AG, located in Wurselen, Germany. CemeCon is a global company with other subsidiaries located throughout Europe and Asia. We currently have an opening for a Human Resource Representative.

Purpose: Provide support to the organization to acquire, maintain, and develop an efficient workforce to ensure every employee has an opportunity to effectively contribute to the goals and objectives of CemeCon, Inc. Provide consistency in compensation structure, benefits administration, and compliance with federal and state labor laws and regulations. The Human Resource Representative will operate in a proactive manner to anticipate the needs of the company and thus be able to provide information and recommendations to assist the management team with organizational decision making as it applies to a successful workforce.

With a focused purpose to maintain integrity and high level of product quality the responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate employee records as it relates to compensation, benefits, and personnel related matters
  • Administer benefit programs to support employee needs
  • Recruiting and onboarding process including job postings, resume screening for hiring managers, new hire orientation, etc.
  • Create and implement policies and procedures as established in the company handbook
  • Revise company handbook as needed
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Participating in recruitment events, talking to potential hires, and distributing promotion material
  • Administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing and terminations
  • Primary liaison with Human Resource Specialist assigned by the payroll processing company and within the established framework of the company's Administrative Service Organizational relationship with the payroll processing company (Paychex)
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations as supported by the Human Resource Specialist mentioned above
  • Support of organizational values through the development of effective and innovative initiatives that encourage positive employee relations
  • Helps drive continuous improvement through skill and performance assessments, training, and performance management

Management System: The operational activities and controls for the business unit are directed by the IT network and the integrated ERP. While there is no direct Human Resource module within the current ERP to be maintained, the Human Resource Representative will assist all other functions in the areas of employee development to provide training and knowledge to support the integrated management system.

Quality Management System: The Human Resource Representative will conduct the responsibilities and tasks of this position in a manner that supports and sustains the standards as set forth by the established Quality Management System.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the Human Resource field, within manufacturing environment a plus
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SHRM certification desired

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
