Job description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads the development of talent acquisition strategies for a variety of different critical roles for the organization, consulting with the hiring team to understand the business need as well as skills, background and experience required of a successful candidate.
- Builds critical relationships with management team and key outside partners, such as schools and agencies.
- Drives the recruiting process, including obtaining approvals, posting openings, developing ads, screening resumes, identifying appropriate staffing resources, planning and conducting phone screens and interviews.
- Provides consultative guidance to and collaborates with hiring managers and Finance to assess workforce needs in the near and intermediate term to identify areas of critical need and develop appropriate Recruiting Strategies.
- Works with the management team to assess, diagnose, plan and implement strategic talent and organization solutions to support business strategy.
- Takes ownership of the Internal Application process including notifying managers of internal applicant, evaluating if applicant is eligible and meets qualifications and subsequently coordinating with the manager to provide an interview, formal response and/or career path discussion with the internal applicant. Conducts follow-up meetings with the internal applicant as needed.
- Identifies proactive and creative recruiting strategies for candidates pipeline channels, including leveraging our technologies, social media and other recruiting resources to identify qualified candidates.
- Reviews effectiveness for all methodologies utilized in identifying and acquiring talent and recommends changes to drive improved results.
- Identifies recruiting opportunities and coordinates participation at job fairs; visits universities, maintaining rapport with placement counselors and intensifying networks with potential recruitment resources; examines and recommends new and additional recruiting sources for the business.
- Drives operational excellence and compliance and set high sourcing standards. Ensure delivery against key metrics and system accuracy.
- Uses sourcing strategies to attract a diverse workforce by hiring talented people of varied backgrounds, experiences and styles.
- Leads and maintains the diversity strategy to attract a diverse workforce to the company by hiring talented people of varied backgrounds, experiences and styles.
- Collaborates with Marketing team on internal and external branding activities.
- Creates a positive and respectful candidate, hiring manager and team member experience by identifying and anticipating candidate needs, following issues to closure and collaborating with key stakeholders and exceeding expectations.
- Meets with new employees to obtain feedback on the pre and post hire experience and identifies methods to help ensure a positive experience.
- Enters new hire data into the Human Capital Management (HCM)System as part of the on-boarding administration process.
- Maintains accurate and concise job descriptions, and coordinates with management changes impacting the hiring process.
- Works on challenging projects that will further advance talent attraction and retention, clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
- May conduct new employee orientation and update onboarding process to ensure the program is effective.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 6 or more years related experience.
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
- Demonstrate experience in sourcing qualified candidates, including using internet and social media resources including resume LinkedIn, user group lists, industry-specific online professional networks and job boards.
- Experience recruiting technical skill sets preferred (R&D, Engineering, cell therapy, etc..).
- Ability to negotiate and advise on complex compensation packages.
- Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Well organized with an attention for detail.
- Excellent communicator and must work well with all levels of the organization.
- Experience with UKG HCM System (formerly UltiPro) preferred.
