Enables desktop productivity for the company's internal users. Deploys, manages and supports desktop hardware and software using desktop deployment software, applications packages, and patch management processes.


EXPECTATIONS

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of desktop infrastructure.
  • Installs, configures, tests and maintains Windows 10 based desktop images, operating systems software and applications.
  • Manages desktop imaging process, builds and deploys new desktops from master image, updates master image as appropriate.
  • Manages desktop patching process; Ensures applications and operating system patches and settings are consistent and up-to-date throughout the environment.
  • Performs periodic system and log audits.
  • Identifies user needs and makes recommendations for future upgrades.
  • Facilities activities required such as cube creation, tear down, rack setup, equipment relocation, etc.
  • Interacts with users, clients and vendors.
  • Performs helpdesk support for internal users as needed.
  • Updates and patches Windows Servers.
  • Responsibilities may require after hours and weekend work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION - REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma


EDUCATION - PREFERRED

  • BS - Bachelor of Sciences


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Minimum of two years of relevant Information System experience.
  • Mechanical skills and aptitude greatly appreciated.
  • Experience managing and supporting Windows 10 and Office 2016.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in IS of related field preferred.
  • Basic PowerShell and/or VBS scripting preferred.
