Responsibilities:The Product Owner plays a key role in delivering solutions for Database Platforms that add value to products/applications develope d by product development teams. This individual is responsible for conducting research on user and business needs for a variety of database platforms, actively supporting the ?voice of the customer?, defining the product vision & roadmaps, and prioritizing the product backlog. This is while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components that the team is responsible for. For the features in the backlog, the Product Owner defines measurable user focused objectives and keep the te am focused on the objectives throughout the delivery cycle.
Responsibilities
Sets clear product vision, roadmaps and communicates the story effectively to key stakeholders and to the work team.
Owns the end-to-end strategy of the solution from inception through implementation. Builds a backlog of product features (ie, writes user stories and acceptance criteria) with the work team ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized by applying systems thinking.
Ensures customer-driven design thinking considering user pain points and customer experience, while using market and industry knowledge to deliver database platform solutions that add value, positively impact time-to-market, velocity, security, and stability to products/applications developed by product development teams.
Defines customer success, ensures ease of adoption, and monitors ongoing success using tools to understand the delivered value by utilizing usage statistics, surveys and feedback sessions and iterating with user and market needs as they change.
Leads design/product meetings, approves each feature. Drives sprint and release plans together with Scrum Master. Take advantage of product KPIs and overall product performance (and oth er business metrics) to optimize the solution
Cultivates a culture of automation, efficiencies in delivery, communication/collaboration and use of metrics to drive decision making and accountability.
Qualifications:Qualifications
5 to 10 years Related work experience in roles of increasing responsibility/influence in managing and improving enterprise database technology platforms.
Skills
- ​ P roduct Owner (or similar) experience a plus​!
- Proven ability to make hard decisions in a fast-paced environment and accountable for supporting enterprise priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills; able to operate at both strategic vision and tactical execution level
- Strong technical experience and understanding of one of more database platforms (eg, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc .), and knowledge of user demands and difficulty areas.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and managing a backlog
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex messages in a compelling manner
- ​ servant-leader with outstanding planning, analytical, decision-making, organization, communication, and teamwork skills, a s well as strong enterprise infrastructure knowledge with a proven ability to influence others and build consensus​
