The Role

As a Systems Analyst on the Fidelity Institutional Business Enablement Technology (FIBET) Digital Solutions team, you will be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional Scrum team located in Smithfield, RI. The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership on sophisticated systems analysis for projects as well as providing influence with our business partners to develop recommendations that address business needs and opportunities. Additionally, we're looking for someone skilled in negotiating business priorities through partnership with Squad Leaders and translating needs back to the team for timely delivery.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 3+ years business or systems analysis experience
  • 2+ years of Data Modeling experience
  • Experience with concepts, tools, and data dictionary
  • A minimum of 3+ years' of experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) or systems development methodologies
  • Minimum of 2+ years' working with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Kanban)
  • You are self-driven and highly motivated
  • You possess the ability to quickly grasp new technologies and business concepts
  • Adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-past environment with constant changes
  • Experienced in agile software development process, including facilitating scrum ceremonies, using Atlassian Stack (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and collaboration tools
  • Working with Squad Leader and Scrum Teams on Product and Sprint backlogs
  • Eliciting and documenting requirements using interview, requirement workshops and translate business requirements into technical details
  • Proven ability to break down epics into user stories, and to define acceptance criteria based on requirements
  • You possess an analytical and consulting mindset - able to ask engaging questions to help tease out requirements details and technical implementation options
  • You are confident in SQL skills, working with relational databases, being able to contribute to data modelling
  • You have excellent attention to details, accompanied by sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Your technical knowledge in front end web applications and REST services
  • Your experience with Content Management tools (Sitecore, WordPress, etc.) is a plus

The Team

The Digital Solutions team in FIBE Technology supports our primary web presence, institutional.fidelity.com, as well as other applications and tools that provide capabilities supporting our clients. This position will play a key role in delivering new and enhancing existing digital capabilities to provide the best customer experience.

Our business unit resides under Fidelity Institutional, which is a suite of Fidelity Investment businesses and support groups that offers financial professionals and institutions access to the products, services, and investments they need to service their clients and grow their businesses
