Summary:
A local Independent Wealth Management firm seeks to add an Associate Advisor to its growing team. As comprehensive wealth managers, we utilize the bucket strategy of retirement planning as well as other comprehensive planning tools. Our portfolio implementation tilts toward the factor premiums offered in the equity markets while controlling total investment costs.
We are looking for an energized and confident individual who will thrive in a busy environment. Candidate must be extremely professional in appearance and manner, willing to accept direction, quick to learn new things, and computer savvy. Superior phone and computer skills required.
The associate financial advisor will work with clients to help them achieve their financial goals in our office and via phone/virtual meetings. The employing team of advisors will lead you as you hone your skills and build on a base of clients which you will service. You will be instrumental in creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics while following regulatory requirements when dealing with clients and performing work activities.
This role provides client wealth management through meeting clients, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare financial plans and other client deliverables. The Associate Advisor will work with clients to solve problems and other practice management tasks as needed.
This role will be instrumental in the future growth and success of the firm.
Associate Advisor Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide objective, unbiased financial advice to clients by analyzing investment opportunities and client needs
  • Prepare financial planning recommendations and initial planning solutions for advisor review and use in client meetings
  • Participate in all areas of client meeting preparation, including running reports, developing financial plans using NaviPlan, and other software to assist with client recommendations with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Client relationship development and management, including ongoing and regular client contact and communications
  • Client service, monitor and update existing financial plans, portfolio changes and reviews as well as new opportunity identification
  • Maintain accurate notes and records regarding client matters in the CRM
  • Implement client review meeting and relationship management systems and processes
  • Keep client team members informed on active and pending client matters
  • Maintain continuing education requirements and required training elements
  • Keep current with knowledge on financial planning concepts, law and regulations, and industry trends
  • Collaborate regarding client research, recommendations and service as guided by the senior financial advisor(s)
  • Actively pursue growth of practice including: attend all firm client events, learn and implement marketing strategies, be an active member of the community, and actively seek to gain new business

Education/Experience:
· Degree in economics and/or financial services helpful
· Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in personal comprehensive financial planning, retirement analysis/software and portfolio allocation design
· Knowledgeable with the financial planning process and in developing written observations and recommendations. Preferably experience in putting together comprehensive financial plans: Goals, balance sheet, cash flow, investment allocation, observations, recommendations, business structure, income tax review, estate document review and risk management/insurance analysis

Certificates and Licenses:
· FINRA series 7 and 65
· Insurance (life and health)
· CFP® Professional
