Cannon Self-Storage Co., a locally owned self-storage company, is seeking a Part-Time Office Assistant/Assistant Property Manager to help solve our customers' storage needs. Our managers provide exceptional customer service and quality products to our current and potential tenants. They take ownership of day to day operations including account management, sales, problem solving, and property maintenance. They enjoy a wide variety of tasks including face to face customer assistance, email and data entry as well as indoor and outdoor property inspections and clean-up.

No previous self-storage experience is required. Our team has a wide variety of work experience with one thing in common, a desire to be of service to others. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to work both Friday and Saturday shifts.

Applicants:

Applicants for this position will be expected to interact with clients in a small office setting. Our ideal hire will be comfortable with the following tasks: presenting a contract to new tenants, assisting new tenants through the process of signing and understanding our contract, processing payments for tenant accounts, selling retail merchandise, and answering general questions about our services and business to potential clients. Additionally, facility housekeeping, sanitizing practices, and other light physical labor are required.

Scheduling:

The schedule is fixed: Friday from 9a-5p and Saturdays 9a-2p, with one additional day of your choosing during the week (9a-5p). However, occasionally you will be asked to work extra shifts to cover days off and PTO of full-time employees.

We have 5 holidays off per year: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Job Duties:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by listening and assessing customer needs, recommending storage solutions and leasing storage units.
  • Assist customers, both in person and on the phone, in renting storage units, understanding the lease terms, fees and property protection and completing lease agreements.
  • Retail sales of moving supplies.
  • Ensure property appearance is always clean, safe and welcoming.
  • Work independently or with another manager.
  • Manage, verify, balance cash drawer; prepare and make daily deposits.
  • Conduct a daily physical storage unit inspection confirming inventory availability and ensuring each unit is secure or ready to rent.
  • Answer phones, data entry, sales presentations, sweep & mop, walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and lift up to approximately 30 lbs on occasion.

Pay: $12.00 per hour
