Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruiting Specialist must work safely and productively in an office setting. A successful candidate in this role must be highly motivated and willing to complete any task assigned, all with completing the essential duties of the Recruiting Specialist position. All employees are expected to communicate, build relationships with other team members and use good judgement at all times. The Recruiting Specialist is expected to have the ability to perform all duties of the positions preceding it in its specific career path, while being responsible and accountable to complete any other task assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Meet the recruiting needs of the company (short-term and long-term) by preparing searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, career fairs, referrals, etc.
- Assist with recruiting campaigns and materials for available positions, as needed. Help contact applicants in local communities to inform them of employment opportunities, consideration status and selection as appropriate.
- Assist the WBI Business Development Team with developing and implementing public awareness activities (e.g., brochures, website postings, etc.) that promote WBI as a desired employer.
- Participate in career fairs, job searches, and other recruiting activities as assigned.
- Screen, interview, select and hire candidates for open positions. Assist with the overall hiring process (e.g., job application review, assessment of candidates, etc.).
- Participate in onboarding processes. (e.g., New Hire Orientation, scheduling post offer assessments, etc.)
- Update and maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in compliance with Affirmative Action Plan, accurately and thoroughly.
- Advise managers/supervisors and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
- Update and maintain files and records related to the hiring process.
- Assist with developing and implementing WBI's Affirmative Action Plan.
- Conduct annual Adverse Impact Analyses with Applicant Tracking System data to ensure a good faith effort to avoid adverse impact on protected groups.
- Assist in the required training and communication of policies and requirements to WBI employees in compliance with the Affirmative Action Plan.
- Implement other tasks as assigned.
- Performs all assigned tasks, responsibilities and related work processes in the safest possible manner, always ensuring that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all coworkers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times.

Position Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- AAS or BS Degree in Construction Technology, Construction Management, Marketing, Career-Technical Education
- 3-5 Years recruiting experience in Industrial, Commercial or Construction Industry - Required

Working Conditions
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers.
- Periodically the position will be required to visit various project sites.
