Purpose of Role

The Director Information Technology will collaborate with the CFO/CIO and management team to establish repeatable and sustainable technology solutions which maximize short and long-term business growth and results. They are responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions and will manage key vendor relationships. They will direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service, quality, and business development

Principal Accountabilities

• Works with the CFO/CIO and management team to define the technology vision for the enterprise, and to identify the opportunities for differentiating IT capabilities and solutions
• Leads development and provides a single point of coordination and executive oversight for technology roadmaps, initiatives, and projects
• Acts as a champion and change agent in leading the organizational changes required to create and sustain end-user computing, enterprise collaboration, application systems, enterprise architecture, and information security capabilities
• Lead IT operational and strategic planning and execution, including:
  • Business case development and cost/benefit analyses for IT initiatives
  • Development, tracking and control of the IT annual operating and capital budgets
  • Assessing and communicating IT risks
• Ensure the security and protection of corporate information systems and equipment; align IT risk management initiatives and lead all disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Manage relationship and direct activities for IT vendor partners
• Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact
• Develop and manage policies for laptop use, cell phone use, etc.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge

• Demonstrated leadership ability to deliver operational information systems capability
• Overall knowledge and understanding of ERP including warehousing and manufacturing
• Decisive with a drive to deliver results
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to effectively drive people, process and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
• Must have the ability to collaborate, influence others and build consensus and commitment to a recommended direction while managing multiple internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience managing a multi-site IT operation
• BS degree in information technology, computer science or related field
• Deep knowledge in IT planning and execution
• Experience in managing an outsourced support vendor

Preferred Qualications:

• MBA, CPG experience preferred. JD Edwards ERP experience a plus
