Overview

The Agency Labor Specialist is a key member of the Procurement team responsible for supporting all Agency Labor activity for Wellpath. This will include tactical purchasing activities; directly supporting functional groups such as Operations, Clinical, and IT. The Agency Labor Specialist, you will be responsible for, supporting all requests for agency labor for the entire organization plus the vendors to fulfil these requests and all contracting efforts including rates, scorecards, and understanding utilization. This person will report directly to the Agency Labor Manager.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year College or university preferred.


Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in a large-scale environment, multi-site experience preferred
  • Experience in procurement or Agency Labor preferred.
  • Successful, track record in managing vendors. Agency labor experience preferred.
  • Prior supply chain, operations, agency labor or procure-to-pay experience


Responsibilities

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all Agency Labor vendors including nursing, locums and consultants.
  • Coordinate contract negotiations, renewals, and rate cards to maximize enterprise wide purchasing power.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and drive for continuous savings and process improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of agency labor strategies.
  • Maintain project plans and timeline for agency labor projects or programs
  • Implement local, regional, and national agreements to support the savings and service goals of the client contracts.
  • Drive contract and vendor compliance to the new and existing national agreements.
  • Uphold internal and external policies (e.g., code of ethics), regulations and laws (federal, state, and local) to ensure that the behavior of organization is honest, ethical, and professional
  • Other duties as assigned
