Job description
Accent Controls, Inc. (ACI) is currently accepting applications for Supply Technicians to work in the Property Accountability Augmentation Teams (PAAT), supporting Fort Hood Logistics Readiness Center, located in Fort Hood, Texas.
The non-exempt job classification is covered under The McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) and the contract's collective bargaining agreement (CBA). Service employees are compensated per the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits that are set by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Wage and Hour Division's WDs 29 CFR Part 541 and 29 CFR 4.163(f), unless otherwise modified by a CBA between labor and management.

Job Summary
The Supply Technician must have extensive knowledge in day to day unit supply procedures, inventory management, and logistics activities including administrative property book adjustments, posting, editing, and filing of all supply related transactions and documentation in accordance with current Army regulations and directives. Works independently and assists supply teams with inventory management, supply operations, distribution and redistribution of Equipment and Assets. Redistributes Equipment using standard logistics STAMIS programs and local guidance. Works with units to improve the Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP).
Performs extensive fact finding, causative research and recommends best business practices to resolve problems or deficiencies. Assists customers with inventory management and provides expertise, recommendations and guidance for property accountability procedures. Resolves inventory problems where items may be lost or damaged. Experience maintaining property records/files inclusive of all documentation. This work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Performs routine, repetitive clerical actions without direction to include document and form preparation for rosters, lists, requisitions, turn-ins, orders, and other supply-related documents.
- Performs data entry on government provided systems and equipment.
- Updates and edits supply requisitions for accuracy and adequacy and verifies data output. Refers to a catalog and/or manufacturer's manual to verify items and prices are accurate.
- Determines availability of ordered items, verifies method of delivery and date, and provides information to customers upon request.
- Compiles stock records and conducts inventory for items in stockroom, warehouse, and storage yard.
- Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, foodstuffs and/or tools. Opens various containers with appropriate hand tools.
Marginal Functions
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Practices physical security and is committed to safety practices.
Working Conditions
Wearing of protective wear and other safety equipment is required during all periods.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Including, but not limited to, standing, squatting, lifting (up to 25 pounds); carrying, walking; pushing and pulling
- Including, but not limited to, problem-solving, decision-making, data interpretation, organization; reading and writing
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience with supply property accountability procedures (92Y/920A)
- 5+ years US Army Logistics or similar experience
- Operational experience with STAMIS GCSS-Army processes/procedures
- Extensive knowledge in technical supply management and research
- Instruction, teaching, mentoring experience
- Ability to obtain a CAC
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
- Travel required- 10% or less
- MS Office
Desired Skills and Experience
- Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) experience in unit supply/property book
