Job description:

Looking for an attorney who is willing to hit the ground running in a fast paced environment. This Attorney will be primarily responsible for providing in-house legal counsel relating to all labor and employment matters and managing outside counsel on matters relating to labor and employment issues. . Experience with a variety of legal areas and issues encountered in a corporate environment, especially regulatory and compliance issues, is a plus.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide in-house legal counsel on labor and employment related matters, which may include, but not limited to, human resources issues, wage and hour law, workers' compensation, unemployment, labor relations, employee benefits, employment agreements, corporate policy issues, FMLA matters and other state or federally-mandated leave, managing employment-related litigation or arbitration, and generally advise the Legal Department and the Human Resources Department.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify and assess legal risks and opportunities within the labor and employment area and provide reasoned, researched advice directly to decision-maker

Qualifications:

Must have passed the Texas Bar

Strong academic background.

An active license with the Texas State Bar and be a member in good standing.

Have 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in

Effective problem solving and decision-making.
