Summary of Role:
In this role, you will perform duties related to all aspects of HR and provide a positive employee experience through many employee-facing transactions. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in new hire orientation on Mondays and support our onboarding efforts. You will also handle general benefits administration, offboarding, unemployment processing, general employee relations, and various other HR administrative duties. You will be responsible for managing tier 1 questions and concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations in the AskHR mailbox.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manages employee on-boarding process, communication with new hires, new hire paperwork, new hire orientation and any required background checks as part of the employment process
* Manages employee off-boarding process, communication with employee, exit-survey/exit interviews, and separation agreements
* Provide operational support on HR policies and processes to support managers and employees
* Support AskHR inbox and be the first point of contact for manager and employee questions regarding HR inquiries
* Work with recruiters, compensation, benefits, and HR operations teams to support programs, policies, and initiatives with employees
* Ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently and provide direction to managers as needed
* Complete I-9 paperwork and reverifications for team members
* Respond to unemployment claims
* Assist with process creation, documentation, and maintenance
* Assist with quarterly projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associates degree or equivalent combination of related experience

* Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
* Problem resolution and critical thinking skills
* Extreme attention to detail and time management skills
* Strong proficiency in MS Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint

* Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for working hours

* Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
* The position requires travel with the potential of overnight stays between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. Less than or equal to 10% travel.
* Day to day work is completed in the office at personal computer M-F, first shift hours
* Ambient noise level is usually quiet, consisting of normal conversations, business machines, telephones, but occasionally may be above average for portions of the business day
