If you are an HR Business Partner professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Austin, TX location, you will be the trusted advisor to leadership on all HR issues affecting the organization supported. The person in this position is responsible for aligning HR programs with business objectives, supporting and consulting with leadership in strategic and hands-on HR matters, and executing our people initiatives. This includes development of, contribution to, and leadership of various HR Strategic Initiatives across the company.

AS A HR BUSINESS PARTNER , YOU WILL:

  • Independently provide full service human resources support for assigned groups. Establish and reinforce relationships with key managers and learns key business issues of assigned groups.
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge and understanding of global business issues, especially as they relate to the organization.
  • Proactively provide input to key managers regarding employee relations, organization design, leadership development, compensation and other HR issues.
  • Manage the staffing process for assigned groups by ensuring the best qualified candidate is hired for each opening, consistent assessment processes are applied, and appropriate affirmative action is taken.
  • Ensure compliance with all pre-employment requirements and applicant tracking, including tactical.
  • Advise employees and management on company guidelines and practices. Emphasizes rationale and importance.
  • Consult with other HR Business Partners to ensure guidelines are administered fairly across the organization.
  • Understand business goals and recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives and productivity
  • Independently conduct investigations regarding employee concerns, ensuring due process is followed. Recommends course of action consistent with company practices.Effectively support training and development needs in collaboration with the Training and Development Manager, including leadership development activities of assigned groups.
  • Act as a formal development coach.
  • Represent HR on key organization teams.
  • May represent the company in legal litigation.
