Peek is a startup environment and we are building the People Operations Team from the ground up, so there is ample opportunity to make a large impact on tactics, processes and implement human resources programs. The team focuses across the entire employee lifecycle, working closely together to ensure there is alignment for all four core areas: talent acquisition, culture, talent management and compliance.
*Position requires work time in PST/MST time zone.
The Role: This role will report directly to the Director of People Operations and will partner closely with the Sr People Operations Business Partner, HR Assistant as well as internal stakeholders including the Executive, Engineering, Sales and Operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily management of HR activities, primarily managing the administration of company programs, policies and procedures
- Manage the onboarding process: setup hardware/software, collaborate with benefits broker and finance, conduct new hire training
- Reviews and recommends policy and procedure updates in compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Take ownership, manage and respond to HR inbox
- Evaluate established processes and day to day work operations for continuous improvement
- Conducts investigations related to employee relations, terminations, EEOC, harassment, etc., and recommends resolutions.
- Facilitates performance review cycle, ensuring that process is understood, and monitors progress throughout cycle.
- Advises and assists business unit managers to ensure consistent application and compliance with human resources programs, policies, and procedures.
- Utilizes human resources metrics to make effective human resources related decisions. Uses metrics to understand trends and makes recommendations to business leaders.
Requirements
- A solid operational knowledge of functional human resources, including staffing, performance management, succession planning, compensation, rewards and recognition, employee relations, compliance and talent acquisition.
- Problem solving matters independently that evolve in day to day work and escalating as needed
- Fast-paced and action oriented, can comfortably operate and make decisions in ambiguity
- Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
- Employment law knowledge with multi-state compliance
- Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and project management skills. The ability to execute large-scale initiatives.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
